TLcom has formally announced its 6th Africa Tech Female Founder Summit. The summit, themed “Transformative Leadership: Redefining Success in Tech”, will be held in Nairobi Kenya on October 15, 2024.
TLcom Capital is one of the foremost venture capitalists in Africa, investing in tech startups that address challenges in the continent. These include Twiga Foods, Ajua, Andela, Terragon, etc, all founded by African women. Thus sponsoring this summit aligns with the capitalist’s mission for tech innovations in Africa.
The Africa Tech Female Founder Summits held each year unite, motivate and equip female founders and CEOs in Africa. For this reason, this 2024 summit is for learning, networking and support for this calibre of women.
Notably, over 500 African women “techpreneurs” have attended the previous summits. Prominent women like Julia Gillard, chair of Andela and former Australian Prime Minister, Funke Opeke, founder of MainOne, Meg Whitman, US ambassador to Kenya and former CEO of eBay and Hewlett Packard.
This year’s edition will feature many tech projects, including the popular Cameroonian crypto startup, Ejara.
About Ejara
Ejara is a Cameroon-based crypto and savings platform that allows users to invest in different cryptocurrencies and save in decentralized wallets.
It was founded in 2021 by Nelly Chattue-Diop (current CEO) and Baptiste Andrieux to meet the Financial inclusion needs of Africans while promoting financial autonomy. The startup has grown exponentially since its launch.
Noteworthy is that Nelly Chattue-Diop will attend the Africa Tech Female Founder Summit in October. In addition, she will be one of the speakers in one of the panel sessions about “Scaling and Sustaining Growth.”
She will speak alongside outstanding female African founders like Rasha Rady, Sneha Mehta and Nneile Nkholise.
New Startups Can Pitch at the 6th Africa Tech Female Founder Summit
Some new tech startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors during the summit and get funding. These include top African investors like Joyce-Anne Wainai of Chui Ventures.
With TLcom’s vision and innovations like Nelly Chattue-Diop’s Ejara, the potential for technological advancement in Africa is unveiled. This summit is an additional spark, especially from these women in tech who contribute to the continent’s development.
